Hi all been awhile since the last post but just to let you know I'm still here I've not packed up the Lottie life or neglected the Lottie every thing is still fine and dandy cant get any better.Oh apart from those carrots what i had sown a few motnhs ago when i first started (That will be down to not thinning out) so they all look like little twisted orange spaggetti so i have recently sown some more Early nantes just a couple of seeds per moduel this time and not 50 :) oh yes and some seedings what i bought what where labled SPROUTS and its turned out there CAULIS must be as clever as me the person who sown them :)
So i will let you have a look at the blog and some recently updated photos in the My pics link until the next time bye for now ..........Hope your all doing as well as i think i'm doing.

The bed before
The bed after i spend hours sieving it
The new beds Sprouts on the far left and broccoli on the right
Strawberry bed after
Its been a busy weekend on the Lottie, Since Thursday I've sown leeks(musselburgh) around 30seeds in a tray 3"deep and put them in the greenhouse hopefully am not to late with them.I've also made an extra 2 beds next to the sprout bed i recently made 1 of which I've put some broccoli seedlings in 10 in all.The neighbouring Lottie which Ive renamed plot2 has been under a big clearing & tidying up project over the weekend is looking better now I've tided up the strawberry bed dug up all the strawberry plants after identifying them beyond the weeds and replanted them in nice neat rows in some black Terran (Weed barrier) might not produce fruit this year now but be ready for next season. And I've also got the bed next to the strawberry's weed & stone free after sieving it for hours and to a nice tilth ready for something to go in.I've also corrected a mistake which i made with the cabbage :( i planted all 3 seedlings into the cabbage bed without THINNING out before hand so i had 5 rows of cabbage with 24 plant to a row bit much hey? so i decided to dig them up and thin them out but after i had done 1 row they looked like they where dieing.Oh NO......(but after 5 day looks like they are finding there feet again and starting to stand up) But i got some advice off some professional growers on http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine/ Cracking website..And I had to take a pair of scissors to the 2weakest plants sacrifice or what:( But apart from that mishap everything else is
fine

Well since the last post I've been really quite busy on the Lottie.
In the last couple of weeks I've planted out some beets(Boltardy) which have started showing signs of germination up by the compost bin.Made a bed for the sprouts next to the pea frame .The cabbage, carrots & cauliflowers are doing well and the potatoes are doing great every things looking good and healthy.
I've transplanted out the parsnips which where in the G/H in to a bed on the neighbouring Lottie with some radish in between the rows also planted out the bedfordshire champion onions which i grew from seed in a bed next to the parsnips. Onions hope i can get rid of them i must have about 140 planted out Ha ha oh well ! went a bit mad with them lee..
Bottom to top cabbage, carrot & cauliflower, beets at the top next to the compost bin
And even got my little helper ! Good lad Jordan x
